We just wanted to take this opportunity to send out a couple of well deserved congratulation…

Firstly many congratulations to Jo Hussey who brilliantly achieved her umpires award last night (02/07/14).

Also well done to all the teams who competed in the Freddy Cook Sunlit League but especially to Pips who won the league and will be promoted to the Prem and Russets who were runners up in the 3rd division and will be promoted to division 2!

NOTICE OF HAMPSHIRE NETBALL ASSOCIATION AGM

Swan Netball Club will shortly be holding their trials for the 2014/2015 season for South Region (open and U19s), Hampshire league, Southampton League (Prem and Division 2) squads.

Trials will be held at Crestwood College, Shakespeare Road, Eastleigh on Tuesdays 22nd, 28th April and 6th May between 7pm – 9pm.

These are open trials – we welcome players who are interested in joining a long established, friendly and successful club with a hard working ethos led by a group of fantastic coaches.

CENTRE COURT NETBALL CO. NETBALL TOURNAMENT – JULY

Centre Court are organising a two day indoor tournament at Southampton University and would like to extend the invitation to all teams in Hampshire. They would like to invite you to participate in a new Indoor Netball Tournament in Southampton on 12^th and 13^th July this year. If you like the following points then please reply for more details and a booking form. 

• £25 per player tournament entry fee.
• Indoor, two court venue ensuring the tournament goes ahead whatever the weather.
• Plate and Cup competition to ensure that abilities are levelled for the finals on day two.
• Experienced tournament organisers.
• Free parking at the venue.
• Saturday play in either morning, midday or afternoon, which means there is time for shopping and leisure as well as netball.
• Welcome pack that includes lots of local information and accommodation options for you to arrange your own accommodation.
• This could work out to less than £100 per player which includes tournament entry and two nights’ accommodation (subject to early booking and availability of lots of local hotels).

Thanks to everyone’s help England Netball have been nominated for the Team of the Year Award at the Sportswomen of the Year Awards in association with the Sunday Times and Sky Sports. This is the only award that is to be decided by public vote – therefore can we please urge you all to spread the word and vote yourself for England to win this accolade after a quite phenomenal 2013.

With the great support that we receive across the country, we really hope that we can clinch another deserved award and grow the exposure of netball even further. The deadline to vote is midnight 25th November with the awards to take place on Thursday, December 5th live on Sky Sports.
