46th Alderman Hammond Tournament

The above Tournament will be held on Saturday, 8th September, 2012, at the Netball Centre, Sports Centre, Bassett, Southampton, starting at 10.00 a.m., and finishing at approximately 4.00 p.m. Please get in touch with Alana or use the contact page of this site if you are interested in playing.

Alderman Hammond Tournament

Just a reminder that pres season training starts this Wednesday 15th at Southampton Sports Centre from 7 – 9pm. This session is for everyone, all levels and both current and new players. The sessions will include a combination of fitness, skills and match play, to help blow away some of the cobwebs from the summer break!

Also please remember your first installment of fees is due asap.

Just a quick reminder that Hampshire Netball Association are running a free
Table Officials workshop at Crestwood College, Eastleigh, SO50 4FZ on
Wednesday September 5th 7pm – 10pm. The workshop is a non accredited course, as
the England Netball Table Officials course is currently under review.
However this will fill the gap in the meantime. The workshop is classroom
based and will provide information on:

*   The roles of Table Official
*   To recognise the Umpires hand signals
*   To be able to manage a match scorecard
*   To be able to work a stopwatch

Thanks as always for your continued umpiring support for the club.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone that was involved in our 50th Anniversary Tournament. It was a real success and so lovely to see so many Applemore’s girls, old and new, out to support this day.

Thanks to all that baked cakes, donated raffle prizes and gave up their time to make the day so enjoyable for all. We raised over £1000 which will help subsidise our new kit for next season and also go to help Smile4Wessex a neurological charity and one of Margaret’s chosen causes.

There are loads of photos of the day, just go to the Gallery page of this site. You can buy images at a larger size without watermarks on for £6 (half will be donated back to the club).  This is my pick of the bunch – Go Laura!!

Just a quick reminder to all that the Applemore AGM is this Monday 16th at 7.30pm. It will be held at 11 Bugle Street, Southampton SO14 2AL, there is free parking through the black gates to the left of the building.
