Congratulations to Helen L’Enfant who, at the recent Southampton Netball AGM, won the Ann Telling Umpire Award. The award is is given to the umpire who receives the highest rating by teams for their umpiring throughout the Winter league – Well done Helen!

Emma Hoare, who plays in the Prem and Southern Region squads for Applemore Netball Club, has been nomiated for two awards this season both being ‘Young Volunteer of the Year’ the reason why Emma was nominated was because she had been with Margaret since she was 10 learning all aspects of the game and then asked if she could help Margaret with the juniors and become a coach which she passed at Level 1.

When Margaret was ill Emma took over the paperwork and looking after the juniors whilst she still attended College, playing netball and keeping in contact with Margaret throughout her illness.

Well done to Emma who won both trophies!!
