Dear Coaches,
Eastleigh Borough Council are looking for a Level 2 coach to deliver the
following:
* 5 x 1.5 hour sessions each week from 29th July – 30th August
* Total hours of delivery = 37.5
* Sessions to run Monday – Friday, between 0900 – 1800
* 5 locations within the area, predominantly MUGAs in local parks
* 2 sessions each week will be for the 13-16 year olds / 3 sessions for the 8-12s
* Coaching rate of £25 per hour
Background to Park Sport programme:
Park Sport aims to provide local 8-16 year olds with a positive sporting
experience during the school summer holidays. The project helps to promote
healthy living and ensure that young people are occupied at a time when
there is a marked increase in youth related crime. Park Sport encourages
participants to explore a range of activities providing a positive
alternative to ‘hanging around’.

Hi All,
It is that time of year when Netball South will be holding it’s Annual
General Meeting on the 15th June (Venue TBC but will be in the Aldershot
area and confirmed on the website shortly). Netball South are also hoping to
share the new regional plan with members. The regional Goalden Globes will
follow the AGM.
Netball South have some exciting opportunities to join the regional
management board. Nominations will be open for the following positions:
Chair
Vice chair
Treasurer
Up to 8 general members

Swan Centre Netball Clubs trials for Regional teams are at Crestwood Community College, Shakespeare Road, Eastleigh, SO50 4FZ in the sports hall on the following dates:
South Region Open (Div 2) 18th April / 25th April 7.00 – 9.30
U19s 2nd May / 9th May 7.00 – 9.30
Just to let to everyone know we have booked our end of season presentation evening at Scoozis Restaurant, in Oxford Street Southampton, on Thursday May 16th.
Karen will be coming around again with the menus and taking names who would like to attend.
We have arranged a very good price again with the Manager, which is:
£16.50 for a two course meal or £20.00 for a 3 course meal, we will add £1 on for a tip like last time.
Would anyone be available as players for the next umpiring course in Southampton? The course is on Sunday May 12th at Oasis Academy Lords Hill, Romsey Road, Southampton. As players you would be needed from 1:30pm – 3:45pm.

Just a note to all to offer our apologies to everyone that turned up to the Netball Centre on Saturday. Unfortunately the message didn’t get through to anyone at the club that the matched had been cancelled and so was not passed on to the players. SNA has been very apologetic and was unfortunately a genuine error. If any one has had unacceptable costs incurred due to this, please speak to Emily.
We have received an email from a final year PhD student in Sport Psychology at Loughborough University. As part of their PhD, they have designed the Sport Resilience Study, research that explores how sport performers react to and deal with pressure.
If you are above the age of 18 and have participated in competitive sport in the past month at club level or higher, please can you fill out their questionnaire: https://www.survey.lboro.ac.uk/srs. The study itself takes just fifteen minutes to complete.
