Portsmouth League

Hi All
We have been asked by Jane Jewell (Head Coach of Shooting Stars in Portsmouth) to see whether any Applemore girls would like to play in Pompey on a Tuesday night?
They are entering a 3rd team this year (Div 1/2 level) and would like to welcome any players that would be interested in playing. Games are at 18:30 and 19:50 in various venues around Pompey city centre.
Please get in touch if you would be interested and we can pass your details onto Jane. Thanks

Applemore AGM 2016

We are having our Applemore AGM on Tuesday 26th July at The Sporting View Pub at Netball Centre on Tuesday 26th May 2016, 7.15 for a 7.30 prompt start.

All our reports will be sent out to you by Saturday 16th July for you to read before the meeting, which actually speeds up the meeting.

If you have anything you feel you would like to bring up at the meeting under the heading ‘Any Other Business’ please do not hesitate to let me know and I can add to the Agenda.

I will also send out forms if you wish to be considered for any positions on the committee.
Please let us know if you will be attending to not.

Also:

SNA’s AGM is being held on Monday 18th July at Green Lane from 7.00pm.  If anyone would like to join me please feel free, as one member of our club has to go otherwise we will get a £50.00 fine.

Prem team Applemore will be collecting their medals for coming ‘runners up’ in the winter league and I have been asked by Chris Granger if as many of these players could turn up as Bill Alexandra is giving out the medals to all this year.

Winter League Vote Result

Dear All,
With regards to the results of the Winter League Option Vote, I can confirm the following:
Out of 24 clubs 20 returned their options, 1 abstained and 3 did not respond.

League Format
Option 1         4 votes
Option 2         7 votes
Option 3         9 votes

Time Options
Option 4         18 votes
Option 5         2 votes
Option 6         0 votes
Therefore Option 3 – Make the divisions bigger with a maximum of 12 teams playing each other once between September – November and February – April.  Hold an end of season divisional tournament., indoor knockout tournament –  December – January.  This would decrease the amount of games played in a season and allow for more bye weeks in case of cancellations.
And
Option 4 – Times to remain as is 10.15 & 11.50
Thank you for your contribution.
