Jo Pearce has roped in her Mum, Morag, and sister Laura to complete the Gold Challenge to raise money for Aspire www.aspire.org.uk a charity who helps those who suffer spinal injuries, as a continuation from the fundraising Jo completed in 2011.

The challenge involves completing 2012km before the Olympics begin on 27th July with only 8 different sports to do it in such as walking, running, rowing, swimming etc… Unfortunately netball isn’t included….darn it! Any sponsorship to keep us motivated when the tired legs hit would be very much appreciated. Happy New Year to you all, we hope you enjoyed your Christmas break and are raring to go for rest of the season. Training starts Wednesday 4th January with the lower section training 6.30 – 8pm and the upper section 8 – 9.30pm.

It would be fantastic if we had a full turn out for training this Wednesday as I am organising a festive season ending with a Round Red Robin Tournament! I am sure all your captains and team mates would appreciate a good turnout to ensure they have a winning team – there are prizes in store!! It is always nice to have a bit of festive fun on the last session before Christmas, so I hope to see you all there.

SENIOR Newsletter DECEMBER

The Applemore Christmas meal will be taking be on the 7th December this year and we encourage everyone to attend for a little end of year below out!
Your captains are collecting numbers so please speak to them regarding the details.

We would like to take this opportunity to tell you about a special Memorial and Thanksgiving Service to be held at All Saint’s Church, Dibden on Sunday 30th October at 6 p.m. during which the names of all those people whose funerals have been conducted during 2010, including Margaret Whittaker, will be read out. You are warmly invite you to come and share in this service at All Saints’.

This will be a quiet service affording the opportunity to reflect, give thanks and find comfort. Please be free to bring friends or family as you wish.

The 2011/2012 Umpiring Schedule is now available to download on the Umpires section of the site. Would all captains ensure you find the person who has umpired for your team and pay them accordingly.  Any problems on the day please let Helen L’Enfant know.
