Thanks to everyone’s help England Netball have been nominated for the Team of the Year Award at the Sportswomen of the Year Awards in association with the Sunday Times and Sky Sports. This is the only award that is to be decided by public vote – therefore can we please urge you all to spread the word and vote yourself for England to win this accolade after a quite phenomenal 2013.

With the great support that we receive across the country, we really hope that we can clinch another deserved award and grow the exposure of netball even further. The deadline to vote is midnight 25th November with the awards to take place on Thursday, December 5th live on Sky Sports.

Players are needed to help in the running of the next c’award umpiring courses on November 24th, 2013 at Oasis Academy, Romsey Road, Southampton. Players will be needed from 1:30pm – 4pm. If your club is able to provide 7 players then you will receive a Netball! If you are able to help please contact me. There are other umpiring courses throughout the season, if you are able to provide players/teams please let me know.

Just a reminder that Applemore Netball Club pre-season training starts this Wednesday the 14th August at Southampton Sports Centre. The session is from 7-9pm for all levels. Please arrive promptly so we can get the most out of the session.

Just wanted to let everyone know some clubs achievements…

Firstly well done to Applemore Toffees who reached the final of the Summer League, only narrowly missing out on winning by one goal to Dreams 1 – Well done girls!

And secondly congratulation to two of our juniors, Izzy Hampson and Rebecca Whatley who have both been selected to attend the Hampshire Netball Academy. Good work and we look forward to seeing your progress.

It’s been a great season for us including promotions, lots of trophies and players players awards. Well done to all and I look forward to more successes next season.
