We are a Southampton based netball club with teams in all levels of the Southmpton League.

Southampton Netball Association AGM

Dear All,

Please find attached the AGM paperwork for 2013. Please note that this will be held as follows in the new venue:
Day:    Monday
Date:   10th June, 2013
Time:   19.00 for 19.30 p.m. sharp
Venue:  The Theatre, Oasis Academy Lordshill, Romsey Road, Lordshill, Southampton

You are reminded that each Affiliated Netball Club must be represented at the AGM  – Defaulters will pay a £50.00 fine to the Association.

Scorer Rule Clarification

It has been brought to my attention that teams do not understand the rule with reference to scorers for league games, so I will clarify this..
ALL TEAMS MUST PROVIDE A SCORER FOR THEIR OWN FIXTURE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE DEDUCTION OF POINTS.
IN THE EVENT THAT A TEAM DOES NOT PROVIDE A SCORER THEY WILL HAVE ONE SCORER ONLY FOR THE FIXTURE AND THEY WILL ACCEPT THE SCORE WITHOUT QUESTION.
IN THE EVENT THAT NEITHER TEAM HAS A SCORER THEN IT IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE UMPIRES AS TO WHETHER THEY ARE HAPPY TO SCORE. (BOTH SCORE OR NEITHER SCORE). IF THEY ARE NOT HAPPY TO DO SO THEN BOTH TEAMS WILL STAND A PLAYER OFF TO SCORE.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO THE OPPOSITION INSIST ON PLAYERS STANDING OFF TO SCORE. UMPIRES AND NOT PLAYERS CONTROL THE GAMES.

England Indoor Netball Association – Masters Trials

Dear Netballers,

The Indoor Netball Association (INA) England are delighted to announce the upcoming open trials for the Indoor Netball Masters Tournament to be held in South Africa in September 2013.

We will be trialling and entering teams in the following categories –

Women’s 30 and over
Mixed 30 and over
Women’s 18 and under

Attached is the trials flyer for the trial in your area and player registration form. I would  be grateful if you could distribute this email to you fellow players and club members. The trials are open to all those who wish to attend. There are several locations for trials across the country including Kent, Derby, Bristol and London.

Indoor netball is a high paced variety of the game played in high tension netted courts, so the ball never goes out of play. There are 2 versions of the game played in Indoor Netball. The traditional 7 a side format and the faster paced 6 a side format which has similarities to Fastnet, with 2 point shots from outside of the circle. Players do not have to have previous 6s experience to trial.

In 2012 we travelled to Brisbane, Australia to compete in the World Cup against New Zealand, Australia and South Africa where the U21 Squad won a silver medal. For more information and pictures you can visit our website of Facebook page. We also recently we got some sports stars from similar (Tamsin Greenway) and different sports to try out the game and you can see what they thought of it here.

If you have any questions or would like to know more information then please feel free to contact me.

Help needed in HNA

Dear All,
As you are already aware I am stepping down as Chair from Hampshire Netball
association at the AGM in June. Hampshire Netball Association is in crisis of folding if more people do not come forward to help. The more hands we have prepared to do a little the easier it is for all concerned to build Hampshire into the best County in
the country.

Currently we have the following positions vacant:
*   Chair (from June 2013)
*   Vice Chair
*   Secretary
*   Minutes Secretary
*   Coaching Secretary
*   Umpiring Secretary
*   Publicity Officer
*   Academy Co-ordinator

We are also about to begin our next 4 year cycle of planning. This is your
chance to get involved in what you want to happen in Netball in Hampshire
but without a committee, or someone to lead it there may not be:

*   Any Umpiring courses organised
*   Any Academy programme or talent pathway opportunities
*   Any Competition pathway from county to Region – league play offs
*   Any Junior League Opportunities
*   Any Development opportunities for Coaches, Umpires and Players
*   Any Financial support on courses
*   Any Volunteer recognition via HNA Goalden Globes

If anyone is interested in any of the positions or knows of anyne who might
be and would like to find out more information please feel free to contact
me via email
(carol.alexander@ntlworld.com<
